• इक ओंकार मंत्र से नानक ने दिया ये संदेश (These messages given by Nanak from the Ek Onkar Mantra) 

अपने इस मंत्र से गुरु नानक ने लोगों को ईश्वर के एक होने का संदेश दिया। उनका कहना था कि ईश्वर सब जगह मौजूद है। वह हमारा पिता है इसलिए सबको प्रेम के साथ रहना चाहिए। 

With this mantra, Guru Nanak gave people the message of being one of God. They say that God is present everywhere. He is our father, so everyone should live with love.

• धन कैसे कमाएं (How to earn money) 

लोभ को त्याग कर व्यक्ति को खुद बहुत मेहनत करके सही तरीके से धन अर्जित करना चाहिए। 

By renouncing greed, one should earn money by doing very hard by himself.

• हक नहीं छीनना चाहिए (Should not snatch)

नानक कहते थे कभी भी किसी का हक नहीं छीनना चाहिए। इसके विपरीत कड़ी मेहनत और ईमानदारी के साथ की हुई कमाई से जरूरतमंदों की भी मदद करनी चाहिए। 

Nanak used to say that he should never snatch anybody's right. On the contrary, hard earned money and hard earned money should also help the needy.

• पैसों को इस जगह बिल्कुल ना रखें (Do not keep the money in this place at all)

नानक कहते हैं कि धन को हमेशा अपनी जेब तक ही सीमित रखें। उसे कभी भी अपने दिल में जगह नहीं देनी चाहिए। ऐसा ना करने पर व्यक्ति को हमेशा नुकसान ही उठाना पड़ता है। 

Nanak says that keep money always confined to your pocket. He should never give place in his heart. If you do not do this, the person always has to suffer loss.

• स्त्रियों के बारे में ये कहना था नानक का (This was to say about the women) 

नानक हमेशा स्त्रियों का आदर करने की सलाह देते रहे। उनके अनुसार स्त्री-पुरुष सभी एक समान थे। 

Nanak always advised to respect women. According to them, men and women were all equal.

• काम कैसे करना चाहिए (How to work)

नानक के अनुसार व्यक्ति को हमेशा तनावमुक्त रहकर निरंतर अपने कर्म करते रहने चाहिए। ऐसा करने से वह हमेशा प्रसन्न बना रहता है।

According to Nanak, the person should always remain steadfast and do his karma continuously. By doing so, he always remains happy.

• दुनिया को जीतने का मंत्र (Mantra of winning the world)

नानक कहते थे कि दुनिया को जीतने से पहले व्यक्ति को अपने विकारों और बुराईयों पर विजय पाना बेहद जरूरी है। तभी वह दुनिया को जीत सकता है। 

Nanak said that it is very important for a person to overcome his disorders and evils before winning the world. Only then can he win the world. 

• शत्रु पर विजय पाने का मंत्र (Mantra of victory over enemy)

अहंकार मनुष्य का सबसे बड़ा दुश्मन होता है। नानक कहते थे इसलिए व्यक्ति को कभी भी अहंकार नहीं करना चाहिए। सब लोगों से विनम्र होकर बात करनी चाहिए। 

 Ego is the greatest enemy of man. Nanak used to say so that a person should never ego anymore. Should be courteous to all the people.

• जातिवाद को मिटाने पर जोर (Emphasis on eradication of racism)

गुरु नानक देव ने हमेशा अपने प्रवचनों से जातिवाद को मिटाने के उपदेश दिए हैं। इसके अलावा उन्होंने अपने विचारों में हमेशा लोगों को सत्य के मार्ग पर चलने की सीख दी है। 

Guru Nanak Dev has always taught his teachings to eradicate casteism. Apart from this, he has always taught people to follow the path of truth in their thoughts.

मैं जो हूँ वो रहता हूँ तब मैं खुश रहता हूँ और अच्छे परिणाम भी मिलते है।

• You want the right people with you, not the best people.

आपको अपने साथ सही लोग चाहिए होते हैं सबसे अच्छे लोग नहीं।

• Never give up.  Today is difficult tomorrow, but it will get worse.

कभी हार मत मानो। आज कठिन है कल और भी बदतर होगा लेकिन परसों धुप खिलेगी।

• Where there are complaints, there are occasions in the same place.

जहां शिकायतें होती हैं, उन्हीं जगहों पर मौके भी होते हैं।

• In your bad days, you have to be very focused and trust your brain, not on your strength, but on your strength.

अपने बुरे दिनों में आपको बहुत अधिक फोकस्ड होना होता है और अपने दिमाग पर भरोसा करना होता है ना कि अपनी ताकत पर।

• You should learn from your Opposition but never mimic it.  If you copy, then understand the losers.

आपको अपने विपक्षी से सीखना चाहिए लेकिन कभी भी नक़ल न करें। अगर नक़ल किया तो समझो हारे।

जब KFC चीन आई, 24 लोग जॉब के लिए गए, 23 सफल रहे, मैं असफल रहा।

• Quick or late, you will regret that you spent your entire time working.

जल्दी या देर से, आपको इस बात का अफ़सोस होगा आपने अपना पूरा समय काम में व्यतीत कर दिया।

• Learn from the mistakes of others instead of learning from their mistakes.  Most people who fail are similar due to their failure, but many reasons for success can be found.

दूसरों की सफलता से सीखने की बजाय उनकी गलतियों से सीखो। ज्यादातर लोग जो असफल होते हैं उनकी असफलता के कारण समान होते हैं जबकि सफलता की कई वजहें मिल सकती है।

तुम मौत के सच्चे  मास्टर हो, क्योंकि एक सच्चा मास्टर मौत से भागता नहीं है. वह इस बात को स्वीकार कर लेता है कि उसे मरना है, और समझता है कि मरने की अपेक्षा जीवित संसार में कहीं ज्यादा बदतर चीजें हैं.

• We can choose.  Things go largely like you want them to go.  You control your own life.  Your own will is extremely powerful.

हम चुनाव कर सकते हैं. चीजें बहुत हद्द तक वैसी ही जाती हैं जैसा हम उन्हें जाने देना चाहते हैं. आप अपनी लाइफ खुद कण्ट्रोल करते हैं. आपका अपनी इच्छा शक्ति सबसे ज़रूरी है.
